IXOS DIVO - BBC Music Magazine
Because it bundles a docking station, this affordable compact music system will be seen predominantly as a speaker set-up for your ipod. However, Divo is a versatile system and can be connected to your TV via phone cables, to boost your flat panel's weedy audio performance.
The cylindrical active subwoofer (this houses the built-in amp) is a well made solid piece of kit but the same can't be said of the minitoweres and iPod dock - these have far too much plastic in evidence. And while your TV's sound is greatly intensified, with voices and dialogue having particular presence, I think its better suited to playing music via your iPod.

IXOS Divo - Houston, we have a sound system
In space, no one can hear your home cinema scream. That is unless you have an IXOS Divo system and turn it up loud enough to blow the rings off Saturn. A sci-fi space station aesthetic pulls it out of the orbit of most 2.1 speaker setups and 48W of sound-pushing output should make it roar with more power than a lion being launched to the moon. Throw in an iPod dock and you've got a bit of kit that NASA would be proud of.

IXOS Divo - not just for your iPod
The metallic IXOS Divo sound system claims to be more versatile than your run-of-the-mill one-box iPod docking system but simpler than a complex hi-fi system.
Its multipurpose design is intended to improve the sound from almost any modern flat TV and work seamlessly with iPods, MP3 players and computers.
The Divo2.1 music system...is designed for those who want both quality sound and to combine several audio sources (TV, CD player, games consoles, laptop computer) through one sound system.
The 3.5mm auxiliary input allows connectivity with nearly all portable music devices, laptop and desktop computers and its mini-tower speakers can be placed away from the separate subwoofer for a wide stereo spread.
The machine is supplied with two lengths of IXOS speaker cable (4.5m and 0.5m) to allow for a variety of set-up options, plus a remote handset.
System frequency response for the Divo is quoted as 20Hz to 20kHz and total system power is rated at 48W (RMS).

ForeverGeek - IXOS Divo 2.1: the compact high quality iPod dock
We're great fans of decent home audio systems, so the Divo 2.1 compact iPod dock caught our eye.
Yes, the speakers are visually appealing...but there's more to it than that.
Yes, it will dock your iPod or iPhone and do all the stuff you'd expect from that.
However. it will also improve the sound quality from any device you choose to plug in to it. given the fairly poor audio output you get from the built-in speakers many items such as laptops and TVs, that has to be a good thing.
Now, granted, it's not going to replace a dedicated surround sound home cinema system, but for those with modest tastes and wallets, its good. As well as the two stereo speakers there's a separate subwoofer. Additionally it comes with high-quality oxygen-free copper speaker cabling...
